Internationally recognized leader in Environmental Engineering with a research focus on understanding how toxic chemicals such as pesticides, flame retardants and mercury enter the food chain and impact humans and ecosystems. Participated in numerous invited talks and has authored numerous publications. Work has been cited in the new USEPA guidance documents. Developed a new remediation technology that is patented by UMBC and licensed by a co-founded startup company.
