Sarah J. Shin

Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of Education

Specializes in bilingualism, heritage language education, and TESOL teacher preparation. Author of Bilingualism in schools and society: Language, identity, and policy (2018) and English language teaching as a second career (2017). Serves on the editorial boards of the International Multilingual Research Journal and the Journal of Language, Identity, and Education. Dr. Shin is the 2017-2020 Presidential Research Professor and a member of the Executive Committee for the Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement of Underrepresented Minority Faculty.
