Derek Musgrove

Associate Professor of History, Affiliate Professor of Africana Studies 

Research focuses on Post-1945 U.S. politics, African American History, and History of the District of Columbia. Co-author, Chocolate City: A History of Race and Democracy in the Nation’s Capital, Author, “There is no New Black Panther Party’: The Panther-like formations and the Black Power Resurgence of the 1990s,” Journal of African American History V104, N4 (Fall 2019). Member of the URM Executive Committee and the Black Faculty Committee Leadership Team.
